ALERT ENGINEERING Co. Ltd.  is a 100% New Zealand owned and operated company. 

Founded in 1973 by our owner, we celebrate over 30 Years of trading!

Over the years the company has grown to become one of New Zealand's most

diverse engineering companies, which sees our products exported around the globe.

The MotorSport Division has always been there in the form of Aeroquip Performance Hoses and Fittings (for more than 20 years), however this was rapidly expanded with the SamcoSport Silicone Hoses, HEL Brake Hoses (when new requirements came out from the LTNZ), Pipercross Filters, Laminova Heat Exchangers, CPR Fuel Systems, Motorquality Race Equipment, Patterson Dry Sump Tanks, Aviaid Dry Sump Pumps & Accessories, Setrab Oil Coolers, and most recently we unleashed the MagnaChargers from Magnuson Products!.

The Staff at Alert MotorSport include:

- John Barker - Internal Sales

John is actively involved in the Mustang Owners Club and is a Ford man at heart. He also likes his Drag Racing, Indy Cars and can often be seen at Waikaraka Park Speedway (where he used to compete as well!). John is an excellent organiser with many events becoming a success through his imput and dedication. And having a Supercharged Mustang himself you'll find him at the Champion Meremere DragWay giving it the occasional Slide down the Quarter Mile. 

- Allan Lewis - Managing Director

The founder of our company and owner is a man with shared loyalties (but they're both good). He's a dedicated man when it comes to Vintage Cars - the Horseless Carriage - and passionate about racing more modern cars as well (yes, preserving the one and racing the other...) After the Targa-Tour in 2004 Allen got the Targa Bug (like so many) and was to compete the next year in a beast of a car. However the Datsun didn't quite make it due to business commitments and other circumstances, however the car development will not stop there, look out people next year!

Allan's background in racing includes the long association with Calven Bonney and the Speedway at Western Springs. A man that's a Holden Fan, but likes the odd Ford as well (like his Model T).
